School Catch is operated by Bytes Reality Ltd (company number 13192209), registered office 175 High Street, Barnet, England, EN5 5SU. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service is

School Catch maps Scottish schools and shows the catchment areas their local authorities publish, alongside related public information. It is an information tool to help you research schools.

Catchment data is indicative

The catchment shown is the local authority's published boundary and can change. Always confirm the current catchment and any placing request with the local authority before relying on it for a move, a rental, an admission decision or a property transaction. We do not guarantee that any boundary, eligibility result or other data point is current, complete or error-free.

Acceptable use

• Use the service lawfully and do not misuse or disrupt it.
• Do not scrape, bulk-extract or resell the data without our written agreement. Commercial use is covered by a separate agreement.

Data sources and licensing

The underlying datasets are published by public bodies under open licences such as the Open Government Licence, with sources listed on our data page. Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors and tiles by CARTO.

Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Bytes Reality Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the information, including any decision made about a school, admission or property. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction.
